Blackthorn have recently celebrated thirty years in show business, which has given them a wealth of experience when it comes to pleasing their audiences. The group has always put an emphasis on audience participation and entertainment value: this is the main reason why young and old alike can relax and enjoy a professional Blackthorn show.

  The potential for Blackthorn to provide the necessary entertainment at the wedding reception was not originally envisaged by the group, but by discerning parents or the wedding couple themselves, who felt it was the right ingredient on the day to fulfil the expectations of all their invited guests. Blackthorn have, however taken this potential and refined it to the exact requirements necessary to ensure the musical aspects of your Big Day are a success.

Entertainment

Four to fourteen musicians can be provided for whatever you decide to have on the day.  We will arrange an acoustic set of Irish slow airs, hymns or marches for all parts of the wedding service. We can provide your guests as they arrive at the reception with a welcoming Irish Seisun to give that authentic Irish atmosphere.

 You can relax after all the speeches with the knowledge that Blackthorn will put over 30 years of experience into an entertaining two hour programme, with a professional sound and complementary light show which includes:
  

• energetic reels and jigs
• a set of waltzes for the Bride and Groom to begin the dancing
• your favourite Irish and Scottish ballads and love songs
• Celtic rock

Prices are available on request and depend on the number of musicians you require, the services you choose and the travel distance.
